Two columns and a large sandstone plaque with the inscription: "The inscription on the stone translates roughly as: Of friendship to the Count of Caprara in commemoration of his arrival in Söder on June 29, 1791." Horstig also reported on this memorial: "When Cardinal von Caprara left prosperous Italy to visit the home of his friend Brabeck in the north, he found here upon his arrival a small monument that friendship had erected for him."

It's incredible how densely such an old tree still grows leaves. There's real power in it 💪

The hut fell victim to arsonists and was rebuilt in 2024 by many helping hands. The new hut is very beautiful and is ideal for a rest and as a starting point for hikes.
