A pass of about fifteen kilometers, with a 1,000 m elevation gain. Almost always in the shade, with little traffic.

Don't go too far, the last 12% are fierce.

Be careful, the start of the descent coming from St Martin d'Uriage is gravel.

Much more pleasant than the Combe de Gières to access Saint-Martin d'Uriage. Narrow road, little traffic.

During the winter, Recoin is a bustling ski resort, and in the summer it transforms into a lift-accessible bike park, with plenty of flowing, technical trails. Due to its proximity to Grenoble, it is popular with local cyclists and tourists. This resort is also credited with being the birthplace of European skiing, as the inventor of alpine skiing, Henri Duhamel, was based here.

Very beautiful panoramic route (in the direction of descent, that is) on the Grand Armet Massif. Along the Roizonne, wild Oisans. Little traffic.

Nice descent to Nantes-en-Rattier.

Small mid-mountain pass (1153m), in the heart of the Matheysin Plateau. Little busy road.
