A stunning summit with views of Mont Blanc. The two climbs from the Col des Ayes are relatively steep, but steel cables are installed at the more dangerous sections. The climb north via the Trou du Glaz is a bit longer and a bit easier. The climb east is a bit steeper and more exposed. The view is good, though.

Magnificent viewpoints. Diverse landscapes

Culminating at 2,062 meters above sea level, the Dent de Crolles is the second peak of Chartreuse. Accessible, it offers a vast panorama of the south of Chartreuse, the Belledonne massif and the Grésivaudan valley.

Despite its name Crête du Poulet, you probably have a better chance of coming across cows here. The highest point is marked with a large cross, which is probably helpful if you're riding in less than ideal conditions. The trails here are multi-use hiking trails, so be nice to hikers as you descend the slope.

A gentle, green mountain, with excellent views of the neighboring rocky peaks, notably the Bec d'Arguille. The trails here offer excellent flowing single-track in beautiful surroundings, on multi-use trails. They are used by a whole range of other users, so be sure to look out for them!

Superb panorama over Belledonne, Les Bauges, La Chartreuse.. A refuge below is the ideal place for a short break.
