The Pfaffenschlick pass is located in the Northern Vosges, in the French department of Bas-Rhin, at the crossroads of the RD 51 and 65 between Climbach and Lobsann on the one hand, and Lembach and Schoenenbourg on the other. The road crosses the Hochwald massif and passes at an altitude of 371 meters.

The Col du Pigeonnier is located on the D 3 at an altitude of 432 m between Wissembourg and Climbach in the Northern Vosges, in the Bas-Rhin. The road passes between the summits of the Scherhol, on which was established until the Second World War a tower of the Vosges Club, and the Eselsberg.
