I've been here three times on one tour. It was closed three times. It's better not to plan a visit or to find out in advance when it's open.

Very beautiful old town with great Metzig. A wine tasting is also not to be missed. We enjoyed Marie and Paul Boehler's wine in their cellar in the center of Molsheim in the late 1970s and of course took it with us to the Lower Rhine. https://www.domaine-boehler.com/accueil

Guirbaden Castle is the largest medieval fortification in Alsace. From 1219 onwards, Friedrich II von Staufen built a palatial-like palace at Guirbaden Castle with great effort, the largest in Alsace. Guirbaden Castle can be reached via hiking trails from Mollkirch in the east, Grendelbruch in the west, the Fischhütte in the south and the Floessplatz in the Breuschtal in the north.
