Built in 1854 at a time when Paimboeuf was the advanced port of Nantes, before being replaced by Saint-Nazaire. It is the only lighthouse on the Loire and the most "land-based" in France because it is 10 km from the ocean.

This former very active fishing and barge unloading port probably takes its name from the colour of the shutters of the house right next door. Departure of the coastal path towards Saint-Brévin. Toilets.

Unfortunately we didn't see it when we arrived (30.8.24) in the rain. The next day, when it was humid and dry, we were able to marvel at this enormous animal.

The little bridge no longer exists, you can walk there but you have to get wet and do a little climbing :)
