Place of laughter and tears. The theatre is located in the heart of Chinon and dates from 1922. It is one of the oldest theatres in France with a balcony that is still in use.

The bronze statue stands on a high square base of Chauvigny stone and is decorated on the front and sides with bronze bas-reliefs. Rabelais, writer, humanist, doctor and clergyman, is depicted as a doctor wearing a beret and sitting in an armchair. The sides of the base are decorated with figures engraved in carved leather: Hippocrates, Galen and Rabelais performing an operation, Gargantua and Pantagruel. Nice location to take a break here. Picnic benches are set up in the shaded area. The terrace of the summer bar La Guinguette has a nice view of the river Vienne and the Royal Fort of Chinon.

On this house facade you can discover the Street Art 'The Kid & Charlie Chaplin'. It is a reminder of the first film directed by Charlie Chaplin 1921. About the film: "The Kid" (1921) is one of Charlie Chaplin's best achievements and remains universally loved by critics and audiences. The film is a perfect mix of comedy and drama and is perhaps Chaplin's most personal and autobiographical work. Nicely done.

Picnic area by a fishing pond, in a charming location close to the centre of Savigny-sur-Loire. A charming place, located less than a kilometre from the centre of Savigny-sur-Loire, where you can enjoy a very pleasant, peaceful and rural stopover. Here, walkers and cyclists meet in a friendly atmosphere, who put down their bikes and walking shoes for a picnic, as well as fishermen who come to hunt in the nearby pond.
