On the edge of the lake, and surrounded by forests, the refuge offers an ideal setting to come and relax. Beautiful hike from Rimbach pres Masevaux. Large car park by the church. After the restaurant opposite, walk a few more steps uphill. There, a hiking sign turns left. Beautiful hillside path with a view of the village. On the way, you can visit a chapel worth seeing. At the end of the village, a stony path leads uphill to the lakes. A wall separates the two lakes. Two rocks offer an elevated place to rest. The hiking trail turns left to the Ferme Auberge Gresson and turns right uphill to Lac Perche (Star Lake).

The Wissgrut farmhouse is a beautiful little farmhouse some 100 meters below the summit of the Wissgrut (1,124 meters above sea level). Its cuisine is delicious, especially the dishes prepared with meat from the farm's livestock.
