Very pleasant

Starting point for hiking trails, the castle was built in the 15th century, on the foundations of a feudal fortress. The park, with its pond, attracts many visitors, from “joggers” to artists, including simple walkers or hikers.

Small Limousin village, at the foot of the Monts de Blond and at the gates of Limoges. Good start of the walk! Church of Saint-Léger from the 12th century and Halles from the 18th century.

At the entrance to the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, Saint-Junien is the second largest town in the Haute Vienne department. On the edge of Vienne, the city, classified as a City of Character, has many assets including an imposing Romanesque collegiate church and a tradition of craftsmanship in glove making and tanning. The Corot site, on the edge of the Glane, is particularly green and pleasant.

Like a beach

300-hectare artificial lake, in the heart of a preserved natural site, in Haute-Vienne. Many equipped beaches and pretty surrounding villages, very pleasant site.

Center of memory and martyr village of Oradour-sur-Glane. The village has been kept in ruins for memory, following the massacre of its inhabitants in 1944 during the Second World War. A poignant site that can be visited all year round and free of charge.
