The village lake with its beach offers many possibilities for leisure: beach volleyball, games for children, bowling green, tennis, and a snack bar. With bathing allowed and some supervised bathing periods, it's a great place to spend the day or just take a break while passing by.

From here it would only be 500m to the source,... but in the heat of July 2022 we preferred to drive further.

Body of water in the village with authorized and supervised swimming. Beach volleyball court, snack bar and campsite nearby. Great stop for lunch or evening.

Very nice view over the valley and over the chestnut copses, once used by the feuillardiers, craftsmen from Périgord-Limousin who made the slats used to make the barrels of the region's winegrowers. https://bit.ly/3egoFjY

Château de Brie, from the 15th century, on the tourist route of Richard Coeur de Lion. Visits to the castle possible on Sundays and public holidays from April to October. Also worth seeing is the "Little world of automatons" which exhibits 60 animated characters from around the world to music. https://www.chateaudebrie.fr/

Remains of the castle of Châlus-Maulmont, or Tower of the fort, dating from the 13th century. The village of Châlus is crossed by the Richard-Coeur-de-Lion tourist route and it is here that the King who was allegedly assassinated.

Once the sources of the Dronne have been reached, the reward for the long climb to the Sommet des Cars follows - a long descent.
