Since the year 1000, the chapel of La Vallette has been a small parish belonging to the Benedictines of Salt-en-Donzy. The chapel is an example of Romanesque construction in the 11th century in this region.

Pretty long pass on the Tarare side with a constant slope around 5%. Delimits the watershed line between the Rhône and the Loire. Do not hesitate to climb to Mont Boussuivre by extending a few hundred meters and climb to the top of the Matagrin tower to enjoy a magnificent view of the whole region.

The Loire has dug itself deep here. Good road to drive

This medieval village is located on the edge of the Forez plain. It is a Cluniac site where you can still see beautiful remains, including old ramparts. A real journey through time!

The Pinay bridge is built on the old dyke of the same name, which has now disappeared following the construction of the Villerest dam. It offers a lovely view of the Loire, with shaded picnic tables and games for children, near the bridge.

It is a magnificent viaduct which has a bike passage on a quiet little road above the Loire, formerly the "Tacot" railway line. The views over the Loire are impressive but you have to take a short detour from the Véloire to get there.
