The Ballon d'Alsace is located at an altitude of 1,247 meters and has a plateau from which you can enjoy a 360° panorama.

From the top of its 1,008 meters above sea level, La Piquante Pierre is an open summit that offers a panorama over part of the Vosges foothills. It owes its name to the block of stone found there. A plaque has been fixed there to commemorate those who died during the clashes of September 1944.

Along with the Planche des Belles Filles, the Haut du Roc is the westernmost summit of the Vosges massif. It is distinguished by its panorama, but also by its characteristic sedimentary rocks and its Calvary erected in 1933.

This small, unguarded shelter, called the Salley refuge or Luthier's chalet, has everything a hiker could want: shelter at night; an idyllic setting at Ballon de Servance; a magnificent view of the Ballon d'Alsace; a charming little fountain; and even a stele in memory of American soldiers of the Cold War for the historical aspect.
