A great medieval bridge - a great photo opportunity!

The Saint-Blaise Bridge is a magnificent medieval sandstone structure dating back to the 13th century. It played a major role for merchants and pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, allowing them to cross the Aveyron all year round.

In this castle, better known as the castle of Queen Margot, many activities take place. You can visit it, attend events and even stay there. The residence has several guest rooms. If you have never slept in a royal residence, perhaps this is the right time?

One of the largest medieval bastides in France, in the heart of Aveyron. Place Notre-Dame, surrounded by arcades surmounted by impressive Gothic-style houses, is cited as one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Every Thursday morning, one of the most beautiful markets in the southwest is held there, not to be missed!

The "royal castle" of Najac, built in the 13th century, is the work of Alphonse de Poitiers, brother of Saint-Louis. Listed as a "historical monument", this castle was part of a network of royal castles located in the valley of the Aveyron. It is the manifestation of the royal authority on Najac after the Cathar era. The Templars were imprisoned in the pit of a low well in the castle after their arrest in 1307.

Najac is a green village, surrounded by forests that offer beautiful and varied sounds in both summer and winter. The widening of the street creating a huge square reflects its transformation into a bastion in the mid-13th century. Along the whole street you can admire the large number of old houses and a fountain from the 14th which is still preserved.
