The Romanesque Église Saint-Pierre de Puyrolland is situated on the outskirts of town on a hill, from where you have a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside.

The nerve center of La Rochelle, the old port appears like a postcard. The Tour Saint-Nicolas and the Tour de la Chaîne mark the entrance to the port basin. The locks regulate the water in the harbor and also serve as stormwater storage. To enjoy it, nothing better than a walk on the quays and a stop in one of the many bars and restaurants of the Cours des Dames, the Quai Duperré or the Wooden Town.

With less than 2000 inhabitants, Thairé is one of the least populated rural towns in France. A must see, the medieval church built in the 14th and 15th centuries. It is a true masterpiece of the Middle Ages.
