A peaceful loop walk around the La Cazine lakes, with beautiful water reflections, reed beds, and abundant birdlife. The varied landscape is easily completed in a few hours and ideal for a relaxing break in nature. Several benches and picnic tables are available.

In a word: beautiful. A breathtaking setting with stunning hiking trails, the ruins, the river, the rocks, and enchanting trails. One of the most beautiful hikes I've ever taken.

At the confluence of the two rivers Creuse and Sédelle, stand on top of a rocky promontory the remains of the ancient fortress of Crozant. Considered one of the most powerful strongholds in France in the Middle Ages. Source: Toute la Creuse

Super technical trail with flat stone steps which leads to the promontory with a view of the ruins of Crozant. The descent that follows, to the Crozant bridge, requires vigilance but is done in dry weather.
