Built between 1874 and 1878, Fort de Vancia is part of the second defensive belt of the city of Lyon. The fort of Feyzin is a fort built between 1875 to 1877 in the town of Feyzin. It is one of the links in the second belt of Lyon and more generally of the Séré de Rivières system. It currently houses an equestrian center run and managed by the UCPA on behalf of the city of Feyzin The fort was intended for the defense of Lyon to the south.
