The cult stone is nestled in the middle of the village and in a very beautiful area with numerous benches.

A few meters further, the path splits into two directions, one leads to the stone channel and the other ...

A perfect place for all long-distance hikers to fill up their water. The water is clear and cold.

The sun cult stone from Bilzingsleben was found near the Dornberg. It was initially used as a whetstone, later brought to the village with great effort and placed here in the Schenksgarten in 1982.

The village church was built in 1512 and dedicated to St. Wigbert. The core of the tower base dates from before 1300. In 1885, the late medieval nave and choir were demolished and replaced by a new building. The church tower of the previous church was incorporated into the neo-Gothic church building. The new church was consecrated in 1889. An inadequate foundation of the choir led to deformations with wide cracks in the masonry. Parts of the church are therefore currently (as of 2018) inaccessible. Source: Wikipedia
