Grézels is a French commune located in the south-west of the Lot department, in the Occitanie region. It is also in Quercy Blanc, a natural region corresponding to the southern part of Quercy, named after its Tertiary lake limestone.

The first known mention of the church of Pescadoires appears with the donation which is made in 1037 by Calsan de Bélaye, his son Guillaume and his nephew Grimoald to the abbey of Moissac; another charter mentions the obit of Hugues, the first builder of the priory of Pescadoires. In 1270, Abbot Bertrand de Montaigu cedes the priory and the church to the Bishop of Cahors, which is then at the episcopal collation.
