Magnificent panorama of the Puy de Dôme!

This walk takes you through several very different settings, from the plains, undergrowth, climbing the Puy des Gouttes and some very pretty viewpoints.

Wide view! Puy de Dôme and a whole row of other volcanoes

This wide rolling path allows you to run with a magnificent view in front of you: the Puy de Dôme. On the right, the Cherry field clears the landscape. It is also possible to see other volcanoes in the chain, such as Puy Pariou.

In this rather wooded area, most of the views are offered by the peaks of the puys. With its beautiful vegetation, this open plain at around 1,000 meters above sea level allows you to run in the middle of a pleasant open landscape. You can observe the Puys des Gouttes and Chopine.

The Puy de Jumes is located on a chain of nine volcanoes including the Puy de Lemptégy, those of Les Gouttes and Chopine, and of course its twin, the Puy de la Coquille. The views and surrounding trails are magnificent.

Culminating at 1,152 meters, the Puy de la Coquille presents a small crater partly covered with vegetation. It offers a beautiful view of the Puy de Dôme. The stairs that lead there make your thighs warm. And the path that goes to the twin volcano, the Puy de Jumes, is very pleasant.

The paths coming from the east and west of the puy are steep. But the game is worth the candle. Arrived at the top, a superb panorama is offered to you. To the west, the landscape over the valley is magnificent. To the south, the view of the Chaîne des Puys is just as impressive, with the Puy de Dôme as the highlight.
