8월 20, 2025, Antalya Old Harbor
The history of the Old Port begins around 150 BC, when King Attalus II of Pergamon founded Antalya as a naval base. The natural harbor quickly became the cornerstone of the city's identity and prosperity. Over the centuries, this port served as a vital hub between Anatolia and the Mediterranean world. Under Roman rule, the port flourished as a major trading center. The Romans strengthened the fortifications and improved the infrastructure, making Antalya one of the most important ports in the eastern Mediterranean. Archaeological finds show that goods from Egypt, Cyprus, and the Levant regularly passed through this port. Even during Byzantine times, the port retained its importance as the largest naval base on the southern coast of Anatolia. It was a key gateway for trade within the Byzantine Empire, particularly to Cyprus and the Aegean region. Under the Seljuks and Ottomans, the port remained a central part of daily life in Antalya. The Ottomans built new buildings, further developed the port facilities, and made it an important regional trading center until the early 20th century. In the 1920s, the harbor lost its former importance and became the smaller but charming marina we know today. The transformation from a bustling commercial port to a leisure destination marks a new chapter in its long history. Source: exploreantalyakaleici.com/de/old-harbor

The Antalya Museum today consists of 14 exhibition halls on an area of 30 thousand square meters, open-air galleries where sculptures and various artifacts are exhibited, and a garden. The responsibility region of Antalya Museum is a significant part of Lycia, Pamphylia and Pisidia, three ancient cultural regions within the borders of Antalya Region, which is one of the spots with the richest history of Anatolian lands that have witnessed the history of humanity. 5월 1, 2023, The King's Road
The King's Road was an ancient trade route that ran through the Taurus Mountains in southern Turkey, connecting the ancient city of Perge on the Mediterranean coast to the city of Pisidia, which was located in the heart of the Taurus Mountains. The road was named after the numerous kings and dignitaries who traveled along it in ancient times. Termessos, an ancient city located in the Taurus Mountains, was an important city along the King's Road. The city was situated on a natural plateau and was surrounded by walls that were built to take advantage of the rugged terrain. The walls were constructed using large blocks of stone and were strengthened by towers and bastions.

5월 1, 2023, Termessos Ancient City
Termessos is an important ancient city located in the southwestern part of the Pisidian region called "Milyas". The city was founded by the Solyms, descendants of the Luwians, one of the oldest peoples of Anatolia. The city made its debut on the stage of history when Alexander the Great besieged the city in 333 BC and the people of Termesos did not surrender the city by making a strong defense. After the death of Alexander, the city was taken by the Ptolemies. In 189 BC, the Termessians who captured the neighboring city of Isinda were punished by Manlius Vulsotar, the commander of the Roman forces in Anatolia, upon the complaint of the people of Isinda. In 71 BC, it was accepted and approved by the Roman Senate that Termessos, which was in "friendship and alliance" with Rome, was independent in its affairs and would make its own laws. There is no information about the status of the city during the Byzantine period and later periods.
