A narrow, natural path follows the gently rippling waters of the Brandbach stream through a moss-green forest. Small wooden bridges and root-covered banks lend the trail an enchanted feel – a true nature experience. Tip: Ideal after rain – then the stream flows particularly lively and the forest floor is intensely scented. Perfect for quiet moments away from the main trails.

This is where the conveyor technology, compressors, and power plants that kept the mine running stood. Today, only fragments of walls and foundations remain visible – a quiet place with a wealth of history buried beneath the ground. The Schönbach meanders below Münchwies through a natural and very picturesque valley. A hike here is beautiful at any time of year.
