Also called Gallo-Roman pile, this turaque or tower is dated between the first and third centuries AD. It is located between the town of Biran and the island of the Biran mill. It was surely the mausoleum of a rich landowner or notable person of that time. A second pile stood 20 meters further north. It was destroyed during the 19th century. The place with an enclosure has not yet been excavated. It must contain tombs and objects of worship.

Like any self-respecting spa town, Castéra-Verduzan has baths and a casino. It is also a pretty town with a beach, a lake and a campsite. In short, a pleasant place to take a more or less long break.

The village houses a castle and an old church. It contains an interesting statue of Saint-Sigismond. The sculptor apparently did not know exactly what this saint looked like and therefore took another French hero as a model; Vercingetorix. The church has a special atmosphere due to its thick walls and small windows.
