Roanne station was opened in 1858 with the Lapalisse-Saint-Prix–Le Coteau section of the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons–Lyon-Perrache railway line.[6] Today, the station is mainly served by trains of the TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes on the Clermont-Ferrand–Lyon-Perrache line.

The small half-timbered house is directly attached to the town church of Saint Etienne.

The Saint-Etienne Church shines entirely in golden yellow and pink stones. It is the oldest parish in Roanne. The church was built around 1343 and destroyed several times throughout history. The building visible today dates back to the late 19th century. However, remnants of various constructions remain, and the primitive architecture blends harmoniously with the new neo-Gothic elements. Don't miss the church's organ, which was once installed in the choir of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral.

There are several picnic tables and trash cans. The horse also loves the large meadow.

From the Roanne marina, the canal leaves in the direction of Digoin. From here you can rent electric boats and bicycles.

The gravel pit for birds is a place for observing and discovering wild fauna and flora with observatories and landscaped discovery trails. This reserve covers more than 30 hectares of wetlands and also includes a plant maze.

Pouilly-sous-Charlieu is a village of 2,500 inhabitants located on the banks of the Loire. Its Saint-Pierre church is modest but remarkable.
