The Marc-Seguin footbridge was built by Marc Seguin between 1847 and 1849. It is a wider and higher version of the first suspension bridge he had built next door in 1825 (destroyed in 1965). The footbridge, formerly a road bridge, has been used solely as a pedestrian bridge and then also as a cyclist bridge since the construction of the modern Gustave Toursier bridge in 1958. The building has been listed as a historic monument since 1985.

Otherwise called Passerelle Marc Seguin. The gangway, suspended by eight iron cables, has a total length of 184 m. It is made up of two spans of 90 meters each and a single central pier in the form of a monumental arch.

Built in its current version probably at the end of the Middle Ages, with significant difficulties, which is then frequent. It may not have really been completed until the beginning of the 16th century, the "golden age" of the town of Tournon, because the funds for the works were apparently lacking on several occasions. We note about it the existence of a specialized corporation: the pontonniers du Doux. It is an exceptional work, of national interest due to the span of its formidable 49.2 m semicircular arch, a technical record for the time (in France it is comparable to the arches of "La Vieille Brioude" and Nyons ). Its aesthetics are also remarkable (observe it from the railway line, both upstream and downstream).
