The building dates from the first half of the 18th century. After the Revolution Charles-François Lebrun will acquire the castle. The 18th century castle in the classical style, erected on older foundations, is in the form of a main building, one storey high on a raised ground floor with a central pavilion framed by pilasters of edges, surmounted by a triangular pediment, and preceded by a porch. In the huge cellar, you can see a bakery oven. Are registered1: the castle with its interior decorations, including the building adjoining the south gable, in full; the facades and roofs of the two pavilions in the main courtyard; the entrance portal, with its pillars; the dovecote; the facades and roofs of the outbuildings, excluding the dwelling adjoining the dovecote; the ornamental garden with its enclosing walls and gates.

The manor of Saint-Pierre dates at least from the end of the Renaissance. Two dates have come down to us: the first, 1600, engraved on the lintel of an old door in the surrounding wall; the second, 1617, engraved on one of the dormer windows of the house with the initials of François du Mesnil and his wife Suzanne de Grosourdy. At the end of the 18th century it passed by marriage to the Frotté family, then into the hands of several noble families: the de Beaurepaires, the du Mesnil de Saint Paul, the de Saint-Hilaire, and the Béchevel. During the Second World War, the castle, located near the Pointe du Hoc, suffered significant damage. The property recorded 212 bomb hits.
