Between Hörstein and Wasserlos (Alzenau) After the climb from both directions, a small reward awaits: a wide, open view over seemingly endless rows of vines that stretch harmoniously along the slope. The view not only sweeps into the Kahlgrund Valley, but on a clear day, extends as far as the Frankfurt skyline – and with a bit of luck, you can even spot the Feldberg in the Taunus Mountains on the horizon. The vines lie between Hörstein and Wasserlos – yes, that's right, Wasserlos! And even though the place name suggests otherwise: these vines are anything but thirsty. On the contrary – they are in full bloom and delight connoisseurs and cyclists alike. 🍇😉 The cycle path here is pleasantly wide, ideal for a short break: whether for a photo, a deep breath, or simply to savor the moment. A highlight for connoisseurs – on two wheels, as if in a glass.

A leisurely climb of 3.2km with a difference in elevation of 120m. It climbs at an average gradient of 4-5%. Very little traffic, ideal for cycling. Asphalt is great, also suitable for cycling downhill :-) .

Great section for just blastin' 🚴💨. But of course also for cycling for pleasure. Cyclists have the right of way here. ☝️

Here you can merge into the flowing traffic from the traffic lights in Haibach and then zoom down at a decent speed. The warning light shows when the lights turn red on the bend. At the end of the village, the bus turnaround is right where the bike path changes, and oncoming traffic can easily be overlooked here... so be careful! Further down, vehicles sometimes cross the bike path without paying attention to you... be careful again!
