The town hall is a historic building serving the town's residents. At the suggestion of the Duke of Persigny, the mayor of Roanne, Charles Boullier, decided to build a new town hall for the entire population. Work began in 1865 and was completed in 1874. A delay occurred due to the war of 1870. Today, the town hall houses the various municipal and state departments, as well as council chambers.

Roanne's Municipal Theater is a jewel in the heart of the city! A symbol of Roanne's tourism, it remains a vibrant cultural center today. Built in 1883 under the direction of the architect Barberot, the new municipal theater opened in 1885 with a performance of Rossini's The Barber of Seville. Its beautiful Italian-style hall hosts different shows each season, offering cultural exposure to all.

The Saint-Etienne Church shines entirely in golden yellow and pink stones. It is the oldest parish in Roanne. The church was built around 1343 and destroyed several times throughout history. Don't miss the church's organ, which was once installed in the choir of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral.

The site is clean and very well maintained. Easy parking on site and several reasons to go there: the greenway, the Museoparc du Marinier with its mini golf, its water games and its barge-museum and the restaurants with terrace overlooking the port.
