Roanne's Municipal Theater is a jewel in the heart of the city! A symbol of Roanne's tourism, it remains a vibrant cultural center today. Built in 1883 under the direction of the architect Barberot, the new municipal theater opened in 1885 with a performance of Rossini's The Barber of Seville. Its beautiful Italian-style hall hosts different shows each season, offering cultural exposure to all.

The Saint-Etienne Church shines entirely in golden yellow and pink stones. It is the oldest parish in Roanne. The church was built around 1343 and destroyed several times throughout history. The building visible today dates back to the late 19th century. However, remnants of various constructions remain, and the primitive architecture blends harmoniously with the new neo-Gothic elements. Don't miss the church's organ, which was once installed in the choir of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral.

The tower and the property were built at the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century by the lord of the castle of Saint Maurice. After the revolution, it was sold to a private owner.
