The first church in the village of Beuzeval was built in the 12th century. Its Gothic porch, rebuilt in the 15th century, is at the entrance to the Houlgate cemetery. It has been listed as a historic monument since April 27, 1948. When the new town of “Houlgate” was built in 1858, a closer place of worship was needed. Thus Mr. Vergniolle financed the construction of a new chapel (rue Jean Vasnier) which was frequented until the construction of this church. The Saint-Aubin church, built in neo-Gothic style by the architect Barthélémy, was inaugurated in May 1878. The bell tower was completed in 1888 thanks to a donation from the Armengaud family.
