The Devil's Bridge spans the Ance. It dates from the 10th century and is classified as a historic monument. Legend has it that this bridge was often destroyed by the floods of the Ance. The lord of Chalencon made a pact with the Devil so that it remained intact.

The medieval village of Chalencon dates from the Middle Ages. It dominates the Ance river from its rocky spur and displays architecture from the medieval era which takes you back to the time of the powerful lords who administered Velay.

The Saint-Paul church, from the 14th century and formerly attached to the monastery of La Chaise-Dieu, is an extension of the castle. It is easily recognizable from the surrounding area thanks to its spire at the top of its bell tower. Restoration work was undertaken in the 19th century.

Bezan is a pleasant little lake, lined with walking paths which invite you to discover its history. Among other things, a pitch oven is open to the public and allows you to better understand how pitch was used to polish ropes and laces, but also to caulk barrels, boats and houses.
