Suspension bridge initially built between 1893 to 1897 to replace the existing ferry. However, it was cut in two in 1944 during the withdrawal of German troops. The ferry therefore resumed service until 1951, when the bridge was rebuilt on the foundations of the previous one.

Don't forget to admire on the other bank, while looking up, the Château Roset-Fluans, already mentioned in texts since the beginning of the 12th century. However, its current architecture dates from the 17th century. It has been listed as a historic monument since 2016.

As there is a rapid at the Doubs, there is a small lock for the boats.

This historic lock is located at the confluence of the Rhône-Rhine Canal and the Doubs River, right next to the charming village of Dampierre, which has a picnic area. The canal connects the Saône, a navigable tributary of the Rhône, to the Rhine, via the Doubs Valley and its extension in Upper Alsace to Niffer on the Rhine. Another extension connects to Strasbourg via the Ill Canal. It was conceived as a necessary link to connect the seaports of Northern Europe with those of the Mediterranean by creating a Rotterdam-Marseille waterway that passes through Germany.
