The Hockerhütte is located in the Chüewald forest. It can be rented (35 people) and is equipped with an outdoor and indoor fireplace, ceramic hob, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and toilet.

This root-covered trail (level S1) winds its way through the forest for 5km and 80m of elevation gain. The trail is rideable in both directions and has no steep drops, jumps, or other drops. Experience, technical riding skills, and a proactive riding style are required!

Very idyllic nature reserve in the middle of the forest

Did you know that the "castle," as it is popularly known, was built around 600 years ago, and to this day, it remains unclear who built it and for whom? This is all the more surprising given that most of the historic buildings in Beromünster are mentioned by name from the earliest times. The castle is a museum and also houses the oldest printing press in Switzerland (dating back to 1470). Please note! The museum has very specific opening hours. During these hours, it can only be admired from the outside.

The Beromünster Canonry is an absolute must-see. The heart of the monastery is the magnificent St. Michael's Church. Its interior is an architectural dream of turquoise, white, and gold. In front of the church portal, on the right-hand garden wall, hangs a large, detailed map describing all the buildings and providing the viewer with a perfect overview of the complex. It's worth allowing some time for a visit.

The Sandertrail is an exciting mountain bike route that offers the perfect mix of technical challenges and panoramic views. As you ride the trail, you’ll encounter a variety of terrain, from tight, winding forest trails to open fields with stunning views of the surrounding Swiss countryside.

Can you hear the croaking of the frogs and the chirping of the crickets? There, a grass frog has just jumped from the lily pad into the water. Take a moment and pause, the frog will soon float back to the surface. It is fascinating how the reeds and clouds are reflected on the surface of the water. The marsh irises are blooming in bright yellow. Not far from civilization, surrounded by forest, lies the unique water landscape of Vogelmoos.
