Church of Saint Martin during his journey through the town of Ligugé. The chapel church is located on the GR de St Martin marked by white DStM markers.

This spot in the Ligugé forest is a must for the inhabitants of the surrounding area and of Poitiers. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, which can go as far as Saint-Benoît via the Clain ferry.

Not wanting to return to the village by the two-lane and fairly steep road, I continued to walk on the road that runs alongside the railroad, believing that the crossing was possible where I made it. Indeed, there is none. You will come across a private property that was a former train station. I advise you not to cross here.

Bike path and hiking trail very well laid out! Along the track, we can see Dolmens, in particular that of Alrait.

Small town of character with, on a rocky promontory, an old fortified castle and its fortified Romanesque church. There are many dolmens around the village and a pleasant stretch of water.
