Beautiful church from the early 19th century. The interior is currently undergoing major renovation, which is a shame about the view of the magnificent stained glass windows. Jointed stone walls, a few statuettes of Saints.

A railway bridge over the Blavet that leads directly into a tunnel. There is only freight traffic here. At around 35km, this was half the distance from Pontivy to Lorient for us.

The Saint-Tugdual church in Grand-Champ, in neo-Gothic style, has the shape of a Latin cross and is topped by an octagonal spire. The current church is a reconstruction in 1865 after the fall of the bell tower struck by lightning.

Located in the heart of the Lanvaux moors, Grand-Champ is a town surrounded by greenery. We find the first written traces of its history in 1224. The commune then included other surrounding communes, such as Locmaria Grand-Champ. Today, it is a dynamic locality with shops and an important community network.

Grand-Champ is the seat of several centuries of history since the Neolithic. This small Breton village saw local lords build a number of chapels and manor houses during the 16th and 17th centuries. The Saint-Tugdal church in its center impresses with its neo-Gothic style.

The Lanvaux forest is a magnificent deciduous forest that includes intersecting paths and a forest lake to discover.

The 470,000 line passes over the Blavet and up the hill through a tunnel and a beautiful bridge, wide enough to be taken on foot without risk. This line is currently only used for freight (cereals) but was used for travelers until 1960 (occasionally between 1951 and 1960).
