Fantastic little climb to do on the block

This bridge is also called the “Viaduc de Cartigny”, in reference to the village of Cartigny which is located on the right bank of the bridge.

A road with views of the Jura, Geneva, Mont Blanc, and Salève, right in the heart of the Pays de Gex. I even happened to spot deer at the edge of the woods.

The dam, which was inaugurated in 1944, is the largest source of electrical energy production in the canton of Geneva.

Perched at an altitude of 1,323 metres, the Col de la Faucille welcomes you with a 360-degree panorama of the Alps and the Valserine Valley. Whether you attack it from the north or the south, the spectacle is not long in coming. Its ascent from the south, on the road to Gex, has the appearance of a great Alpine pass with its many bends and countless views of the Mont-Blanc massif.

This belvedere, near the Col de la Faucille, offers a breathtaking view of the Pays de Gex, the Alps and Lake Geneva. You can admire the foothills of the Jura massif that surround you. You will find a car park, toilets and an orientation table on site.
