From the Roche Bernard viewpoint, you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the Bellefontaine lakes and the Lac des Mortes. These glacial lakes are now among the must-see attractions of the Jura.

Heir to the glaciers that covered the Jura ten thousand years ago, leaving moraines with impermeable bottoms, a peat bog is formed when these bottoms fill with stagnant water, populated by plants resistant to the cold. The shifting ground of the peat bogs is a thick carpet of sphagnum moss, on which some particularly adapted plants can grow (cranberry, cotton grass, andromeda, sundew, mountain pine, etc.). The biological interest therefore makes it important to preserve these fragile environments. A thematic trail starting from the Domaine du Bugnon allows you to discover this environment.
