Rouen is the capital of the Normandy region in northern France. The port city on the Seine played an important role under Roman rule and in the Middle Ages and has Gothic churches such as Saint-Maclou and Saint-Ouen. Medieval half-timbered buildings have been preserved in the cobbled pedestrian zone. The cityscape is dominated by the towers of Notre-Dame Cathedral, which the impressionist artist Claude Monet immortalized in numerous paintings.

The Château de Bonnemare is a 16th century castle which presents a rare and harmonious ensemble including a round chapel, a kitchen with a rotisserie designed by Leonardo da Vinci, a farm with a forge and a cider house. You can discover the 22 hectare park which surrounds the castle and admire the poplar avenue, the orchard and the pond. You can also stay in one of the guest rooms or gîtes which offer a charming and authentic experience of French heritage.

Rouen, renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage, is the capital of Normandy. Rouen Cathedral, with its magnificent Gothic façade, is one of the city's iconic symbols. It was immortalized by the famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet in his series of cathedral paintings. Rouen is also known for being the site where Joan of Arc was tried and burned at the stake in the Old Market Square in 1431. This tragic story is commemorated by a memorial dedicated to Joan of Arc and guided tours offering insight into the sites associated with her trial and execution.
