Today we passed 63 locks and reached the 3,333 m long summit tunnel of the Canal de Bourgogne at Pouilly-en-Auxois, just behind lock No. 1. Tomorrow we'll continue with the 2nd lock No. 1 at the end of the summit tunnel, downhill via Dijon to the mouth of the canal in the Saône.

This reservoir supplies the Burgundy Canal. Its construction was completed in 1838. The site is classified in the National Inventory of Natural Heritage as a type 1 natural zone of ecological, fauna and flora interest.
