Very beautiful arched stone bridge over the Doulouse river. Perfect for a cool break and soaking your feet in the water!

Twisty road descent from the south. You could probably ride down most of the way from the north on 32mm tyres but you’d be worried about your wheels. 40mm sensible minimum. Heading back up to the north from the bridge really wants a mountain bike and big lungs, but as long as you aren’t wearing road shoes you can hike a bike for about 15 minutes up through the forest before picking up some tarmac.

It is recommended to bring sticks and wear sturdy walking shoes. The route is beautiful, but not well maintained everywhere. Nice walk with lots of climbing and descending.

In the heart of the Aveyron gorges, this picturesque stone bridge served a Gallo-Roman road linking Rodez to Cahors. Preserved natural setting. Hiking trail (GR 62 B). This ancient way allowed the movement of cattle, goods as well as ore extracted from the mines of the region of La Bastide l'Evêque. The bridge, an ambitious urban marker or a modest means of crossing a river or a river, was attached to seigneurial rights.
