The small village of Clerval-sur-Doubs offers a perfect stopover on the banks of the Doubs River. You'll find a night market in the summer, a train station, good restaurants, and a very pleasant municipal campsite. The Pays-de-Clerval region is an ideal base for exploring the Doubs River by bike. Don't hesitate to stop by!

This magnificent section approaching Baume-les-Dames reveals a bucolic setting. Between the Rhône-Rhine Canal and the Doubs River, it's a delight to progress through this environment.

A beautiful tour to get from Freiburg into France. Then you can follow the Rhone to the South of France or cross the Saone to the Loire. A very, very nice ride.

A nice campsite right on the Doubs. Just set up camp. In the evening, someone goes around and registers you. Then you pay at the cash register. I think it was around €7 for the tent. I set up a spot in the shade. The restrooms are a bit older, but when I was there to shower, someone was always there cleaning, and it was noticeable. There was a music festival in the village that evening. The birds were noisy at night, but that's nature. The next morning, we drove to the delicious bakery in the village and then moved on.

This former customs house contains a repair station with tools, a room with a table, and toilets, making it ideal for fetching water and picnicking, even in the rain.

Nothing special

The campsite is managed by the municipality. The reception is open for 30 minutes each morning and evening. If you arrive between these hours, you can simply set up camp on a free pitch and report to reception when it opens.
