Erected at the entrance of the hiking trail which leads to the first mill, (it is perhaps the highest point of the hill on this hill) listed by Ceram (regional archaeological studies center of Morbihan) for having identified about fifteen cupules on its south side and about ten on the summit.

In his book "I'm Off Then," Hans-Peter Kerkeling describes his thoughts and experiences on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage through northern Spain, which he undertook in June/July 2001. Before returning from Santiago de Compostela, the popular entertainer draws his own personal conclusion. I would like to offer this concluding thought of his, likely matured over weeks on the Camino Francés, to the viewer of this small, sacred monument: "God is the one individual who opens himself infinitely to liberate all. (...) The Creator throws us into the air, only to catch us again in the end, surprisingly. It's like the boisterous game that parents play with their children. And the message is: Have faith in the one who throws you, because he loves you and will, completely unexpectedly, also be the one who catches you. And when I look back, God constantly threw me into the air and caught me again on the way. We met every day." (Hape Kerkeling in "I'm off then. My journey on the Camino de Santiago")

During the Angelus prayer on Sunday, July 20, 2025, Pope Leo XIV spoke a few words that resonate with the Marian oratory located here, with its special dedication to "Our Lady of Peace": "I understand your feeling of being unable to do much in the face of this dramatic situation [of war]. You are in the heart of the Pope and the entire Church. I thank you for your witness of faith. May the Virgin Mary, ... the dawn of the new sun that has risen in history, always protect you and guide the world to a dawn of peace."

This footbridge was built to cross the Matz, it is located in the southern area of the Grand Val forest.
