Stop at the edge of town to admire the view

This door, which appears medieval, does not go unnoticed with its two towers and the battlements of its curtain wall. Make no mistake, it was built in 1928 on the initiative of Mrs. Belmont, an American national, then owner of the Augerville castle. This gate now belongs to the commune of Boulancourt.

Very old cemetery in which we find a certain number of historical remains, notably a Renaissance door, a gallery dating from the 12th or 13th century and the Saint-Lazare chapel which we discover from the street, built in bricks at the beginning of the 16th century (period during which the town of Boiscommun was fortified with brick ramparts).

Standing in the heart of the Gâtinais, the Courances estate extends over 75 hectares and includes a magnificent 17th century castle as well as its park and vegetable garden. Closed during the winter, it opens its doors the rest of the year for fun visits. If you're not pressed for time, don't hesitate to drop by.

It was referenced on the first list of Historic Monuments by Prosper Mérimée in 1840. This church was restored in the second half of the 19th century because the nave and the aisles were in danger of ruin. This major restoration led by the architect Sauvageot was completed in 1896
