세상의 배꼽은 바로 이곳입니다! Rue des Merveilles 거리에, Hérisson 성에서 아주 가깝습니다. 1990년, 이야기꾼 Yannick Jaulin의 주도로 태어난 Festival du Nombril du monde (세상의 배꼽 축제)는 2년마다 Pougne-Hérisson에서 열립니다. 이 축제는 "말의 예술을 중심으로 공연과 환상을 제공하는 기발한 행사"로 스스로를 소개합니다. 이곳에서는 이야기꾼, 거리 예술가, 음악가, 시각 예술가, 시인, 작가, 수다쟁이, 그리고 몽상가들을 만날 수 있습니다... 지역 주민들과 외부 사람들과 함께 예술적, 시적, 인간적인 모험을 나누고 모일 수 있는 멋진 구실입니다. 세상을 질문하고 그 재창조를 믿게 하는 축제적이고 무례한 순간입니다. 지역 기관이 된 이 축제에서 (아, 죄송합니다, 아니요... 세계적인 것이죠!), 오늘날 우리가 "말의 예술과 이야기의 발전을 위해 30년 동안 문화, 관광, 교육 및 전문 활동을 제공하는 제3의 장소"라고 부를 만한 것이 남았습니다. Gâtine의 깊숙한 곳에 자리한 정말 특별한 장소로, 유머 감각이 풍부하게 곁들여진 시적인 감칠맛과 함께 환상의 맛을 즐길 수 있습니다.

Dating from the 15th century, this manor house in VieuxBeaurepaire, listed as a Historic Monument, is distinguished by successive constructions integrated into older buildings. It is particularly famous for having sheltered Abbot Pierre Proust during the Vendée Wars, who took refuge there to escape deportation and continue to keep the parish registers of Terves.

The old Clécé train station marks a stop on the old railway line converted into a greenway. The disused building, with its simple lines and exposed timbers, is a perfect resting spot for a break.

Things to See & Do Ramparts: With approximately 30 semicircular towers, the granite walls symbolize medieval urban robustness. Ruined Castle: All that remains of the castle is a round tower (perhaps the keep) and sections of walls restored since the 1980s. Panoramic Walk: The rampart path offers splendid views of the Thouet Valley and the Saint-Paul district.

History & Architecture Medieval Construction: Built in the early 13th century under the aegis of John Lackland, the citadel rests on a natural promontory reinforced by three defensive walls, towers, and ramparts. Castle and Bastion: Its original, isolated castle included towers such as the Powder Tower and the Harcourt Tower. In the 15th century, Arthur de Richemont added the bastille and an artillery boulevard. Citadel Gate (or Clock Gate): The gatehouse is flanked by two almond-shaped towers and topped with a clock tower. A granite staircase provides access to the guardroom and the patrol path.

The citadel of Parthenay, nicknamed the "little Carcassonne of the West", is one of the city's heritage jewels, perched on a rocky spur overlooking the bend of the Thouet River.
