The village of Gevrey Chambertin is known mainly for its famous wine: Le chambertin. It is this and none other that Napoleon Bonaparte appreciated more than anything to have at his table. The village is one of the most pleasant and has a small grocery store, bar, press center and restaurants in the town centre, as well as numerous houses of winegrower owners who offer visits and tastings of their famous pinot noir.
