St. Mary's Church is the central focal point in the heart of the village and is located directly on the "Thuringian Towns Chain" cycle path. It was portrayed by Lyonel Feininger. The Tröbsdorf war memorial was erected for the victims of the First World War. The memorial consists of a brick obelisk on a pedestal, flanked by cannonballs. The pedestal bears lists of the names of those who fell between 1914 and 1918, which were later supplemented by the names of local residents who died in the Second World War. The Regler Church (officially St. Augustine's) is one of Erfurt's most historically significant and artistically valuable churches. It is located slightly away from the cathedral on Bahnhofstraße, near the Anger square, and is particularly famous for two things: its extraordinary altar and its asymmetrical towers. The unusual name "Regler Church" derives from the "Regulated" Augustinian Canons. These monks lived according to a strict rule (Regula), which is why they were colloquially known as "the Reglers." The monastery was founded as early as the 12th century (around 1117/1130). The present church was built between 1130 and 1238 in the Romanesque style, but was rebuilt and enlarged several times in the Gothic style after fires.

You can take a shortcut there and avoid car traffic. It's not strictly legal, though.

The beautiful Protestant Church of St. Mary is the undisputed highlight of the Tröbsdorf district of Weimar. Its origins date back to the 13th century.
