이 성은 13세기 중반에 지어진 것으로 추정됩니다. 당시에는 6개의 탑과 넓은 해자로 둘러싸인 진정한 요새였습니다. 12세기부터 14세기까지 이 성은 브르타뉴와 푸아투 사이의 요충지 역할을 했으며, 이 국경 지역에는 포르니크, 마슈쿨, 클리송, 티포주, 샹토세 등 많은 요새가 브르타뉴 변경에, 코메키에르, 라 가르나슈, 팔루오, 몽테귀, 푸조주 등이 하부 푸아투에 자리 잡고 있었습니다. 17세기에는 가문의 영지를 상속받은 필리프 드 클레랑보가 젊은 루이 14세에 의해 프랑스 원수로 임명되었고, 이후 팔루오 성 재건에 착수하여 오래된 요새를 현대적인 성으로 개조했습니다. 중세 시대의 6개 큰 탑은 그대로 유지하면서 그 사이에 돔으로 덮인 망사르 지붕 건물을 포함시켰습니다. 원수의 성은 푸아투 전역에서 독특한 건축물이었습니다. 루이 14세의 유명한 지리학자 클로드 마스의 말에 따르면, "이 지역에서 가장 질서정연하고 가장 완벽한" 건물이었습니다. 혁명 기간 동안 소유주들이 버린 이 거대한 저택은 1793년 왕당파의 거점으로 사용되었고, 지하 통로는 공화주의자들의 감옥으로 사용되었습니다. 1794년 2월 8일, 공화주의 부대가 팔루오의 성과 교회를 불태웠습니다. 이곳은 이후로 재건되거나 보강된 적이 없습니다. 현재도 식물에 뒤덮인 버려진 폐허 상태로 남아 있습니다. 팔루오 성은 남아 있는 인상적인 폐허와 빈센느 공병 박물관에 보관된 클로드 마스의 수채화 도면과 그림으로 미루어 보아, 화려한 저택이었을 것입니다.

길을 막는 울타리 때문에 guigui가 하이킹했을 때만큼 가까이 갈 수 없었습니다. 그래도 잘 보입니다.

On Place Napoléon in La Roche-sur-Yon, thirteen mechanical animals made of wood and steel, designed by François Delarozière and the La Machine company, populate the pools and are free for the public to handle. This mechanical zoo brings together crocodiles, hippopotamuses, dromedaries, sacred ibises, otter, owls, flamingos, frogs, and Nile perches. Each animal has a control station that allows different parts of its body to be activated (wings, mouth, legs, etc.). Visitors, young and old, can bring these works to life using hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems. The animals spit water, move, or interact according to the wishes of passersby. The activity is designed to be interactive, fun, and educational, supervised by "veterinarians" to guide visitors. The animals are inspired by a bestiary that is half-Egyptian and half-Vendean, paying homage to local history and biodiversity.

It’s a shame that the lake tour is not maintained, brambles and thorns sometimes require passage through the water, very narrow paths due to lack of maintenance

Super course with small wild coves, clean and well maintained path. Be careful with some slightly technical passages. Needed to get off the bike twice on short rocky bars.
