The Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits Market Hall in Vendée dates back to 1765 and covers an area of 1,340 m². It is supported by a remarkable oak frame that required approximately 150 trees and features 41 Doric limestone columns, reflecting the neoclassical style of the time. Located in the center of the town, it forms the historic and commercial heart of the village and hosts a weekly market as well as monthly fairs. The market halls have been restored several times, with the last major renovation taking place in 2006. Listed as a historic monument since 1943, they symbolize the ancient merchant tradition of Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits.

The Rambourg mill, located in Nesmy near La Roche-sur-Yon, is a rare early 20th-century watermill still equipped with its original mechanisms. It ceased its milling activity in 1981 and has since been restored and opened to the public for guided tours during the summer, from July 1 to August 31, every day except Saturday. The interior of the mill can only be seen during these guided tours, allowing visitors to understand the traditional workings of the mill. The site also offers a bucolic setting conducive to relaxation, with a ford, picnic area, and walks along the banks of the Yon. The mill participates in Heritage Days with specific activities.

At the end of your beautiful walk around the lake, treat yourself: go to Poiroux and visit La Folie de Finfarine which is a walk in the world of bees. Giant hive, honey collection, films about bees, ... lots of wonders that delight young and old and an excellent Vendée honey in the shop.
