11세기 "군사" 부분과 르네상스 시대 "주거" 부분으로 구성된 아름다운 성입니다.

앙드레 베네토 다리 (Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie) 2011년부터 « 앙드레 베네토 » 자전거-보행자 다리가 생틸-질-크루아드비의 콩코르드 다리 옆에 있습니다. 1981년에 철거된 옛 철도 다리의 교각 위에 몇 미터 상류에 건설되었습니다. https://photos-de-vendee.blogspot.com/2014/09/la-passerelle-andre-beneteau-saint.html

Built in the second half of the 15th and in the 16th century by Louis de Beaumont, lord of Plessis-Macé in Anjou, the castle of Commequiers, now owned by the commune, was, like most of the castles of Bas Poitou, dismantled on the orders of Cardinal Richelieu in 1628, 6 years after the defeat of Soubise at Notre Dame de Riez and Saint Gilles. It was then the property of the La Trémoille, great Protestant lords. Great view - Avoid in summer

That all sounds very nice, sunshine! In the pouring rain we were happy to get across the bridge quickly and using the shortest route!

As we drove past in the rain we saw this striking lighthouse.

This is a wonderful flat ride covering the south half of the island, fantastic views and great cycling tracks and a beautiful village. We also saw heron which seemed completely bemused by our presence. I would thoroughly recommend this short but very enjoyable ride.

One of my favorite places in Vendée. We never tire of it, no matter the weather.
