A vestige of the feudal castle of Montléans built in the 12th century, the Tour de Montléans houses memories of the glorious past of the Viennese nobility. A place where stone merges with the verdant forest. The Seigneurie was occupied by different noble families, notably the Lord of Beauvoir-de-Marc at the beginning of the 14th century and the Maugiron Family in the 16th century, which in 1569 became Count of Montléans. Richelieu ordered the destruction in Viennese of all the fortresses and castles, thus the Castle of Montléans was demolished in 1633, leaving only ruins.
