At the top of the Dent de Crolles (2,062 meters), the view emerges over the entire Grésivaudan valley. Second highest summit of the Chartreuse massif after Chamechaude at 2082 meters, its ascent is however more technical.

It is a summit of the Massif de la Chartreuse located at an altitude of 1,486 meters. From there, there is a superb view of the Chartreuse mountains and the plain of Chambéry.
As you climb up to the Col de l'Alpe, you will find a summit cross dating from the early 20th century. Erected in 1926, it was built to commemorate local climbers and hikers who lost their lives in the Alps.
